36 hours and counting...

Well I can't believe it but in 36 hours we will be driving West down the Virginia highways headed to Texas. I think it's starting to become more real. It's going to be very hard to leave the place where my marriage really began, we made our first home, both my boys were born, I had my first real job, and most importantly where we invested 6 years of our lives in the people and teens at our church. This morning we went to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel and I almost cried because of the channging winds- what I mean is when you live in a place that actually has 4 seasons you can always start to tell when one season is ending and the next is beginning. The sun was warm but there was a new crispness to the air and you just new that Fall was coming. There are few things more beautiful than a Virginia Fall.
And as a new season begins in the Jones' family as well we have some exciting news- we have a contract on our house!! Whoo-hooo. I'm trying not to get to excited until the actual closing date but if everything works out hopefully we will be closing on our house here in late September and moving into a new home around the same time. The biggest news is that since we are working with a semi-definite time frame of three weeks with both a mortgage and rent we decided to splurge on the rent a little and upgrade from the camper to a hotel room. Double whooo-hoooo!! Though I'm sorry to disappoint you all in that I won't be barefoot and pregnant at the trailer park- but the hotel was only $50 more bucks a week and definitely worth it.
Hope everyone has a great labor day weekend. We'll be driving 24 hours in a loaded down car with two little ones and a dog- towing another car behind us. Honk if you pass us! I'm sure we'll have tears in our eyes and smiles on our faces. Bittersweet is such a weird emotion.

It's happy sad for us too. We'll feel your emotions as you guys pack up and say good bye to all those people that have filled our place and been your family away from family.
...but at the same time I CAN NOT WAIT!! SERIOUSLY..
I think Ty is about to bust with excitment. He thinks he going to live at Levi's house and Levi is going to live at his..

Tears in your eyes and smiles on your faces - such a good description of your move.

Houston falls are probably better than you think. I hear it only gets up to 85 some days. :)

Thanks for giving us a glimpse into all you are feeling right now. I'm sure it is a rollercoaster. I am SO GLAD, though, that your house is selling. What a blessing. I'm a little disappointed that we won't be seeing pictures of you in the trailer park, though.
