Recognize this person?

Recognize this person? Well isn't it obvious?.. it's me! Levi's pre-school had a Mother's Tea Party today in celebreation of Mother's Day and it was really cute. When we walked in, there were pictures hanging on the wall (with identifying markers covered up) that each of the kids had drawn of their mommies and we had to pick which one we thought was supposed to be us. I actually guessed this one first just by the drawing style but then changed my mind. I confess I did have an extra clue because last week when I picked Levi up from school he told me that he had drawn a surprise picture of me and had given me beard! He thought is was hysterical. When I told him that I was a girl and girls don't have beards, his only response was, "well when you were a little girl did you have a beard?" :)

The teacher had also interviewed all the kids about their Mommies and had typed them up for us to read. Here's what Levi had to say about me:

Q. What does your mommy look like?
Levi: She has brown hair and has Titus with her.

Q. What do you like to do with your mommy?
Levi: I draw with her.
Q. What does she cook?
Levi: She makes cereal for me and pizza when Daddy goes and gets it. (GUILTY!!)

Q. Why did God make mommies?
Levi: God made mommies so daddies can go to work.

I admit with those kind of answers I may no longer be in the running for best Mom of the year- but my boys don't seem to mind my style. It's weird because sometimes I feel like I'm still getting used to the idea that I am a mother even though it's been over 3 1/2 years. The tea party was so cute and it's things like this that make me really feel like a mom. I figure if all the moms of the other kids in his class (you know the "real moms") believe me to be Levi's mother and recognize me that way then I guess it really must be true- I am a mother. :)
Here's a few more pics from the fun day.

It was also pony picture day. They got to dress up like cowboys and take pictures on a REAL pony!

Don't mess with Virginia!

His teacher Mrs. Donna and classmates singing M-O-M-M-Y to tthe tune of BINGO :)

I am a mother! I am a mother!

I'm not sure why, but that post made me cry! I think you sound like a GREAT Mom... there is nothing wrong with ordering pizza! Happy Mothers Day!
