Emotional Rollercoasters
Well it has been a whirlwind week for the Jones family. Cory's folks came up to help us celebrate Titus' first birthday and while they were here my Dad called to let me know that my grandpa had passed away. He had a heart attack a few weeks ago and had been on life support ever since. The family decided to take him off the ventilator and he passed quickly within 45 minutes, and my Dad was there and got to have some last few special moments with him. This was definitely one of those weeks where it was hard to be so far away from family. The funeral was really simple and really sweet. I am so glad I got to be there for that at least. And I am so very grateful for our church family here and the friends helped us out even at the last minute to take care of Levi for me while Titus and I headed to the funeral in Oklahoma. We are very blessed!
Now for the rest of this post I'll just let the pictures do the talking. They are from Titus' birthday. We went to a local favorite called Chesterfield Berry Farm. On the weekends they have all sorts of entertainment and the best part is you pick your own strawberries...the ones you eat in the field are free!!
We went here last year too when Titus was only 3 days old and took a family picture with his little newborn head sticking up throught the cut outs. My how things have changed!
Mike and Barbi have not missed even one of the boys births or birthdays even with us being so far away- and I think that's pretty special
Loves it!
Headed to the fields with friends
He seems to little to be able to do this
Just some of the entertainment: Pig Races! They had the pigs names on a sign near by and you could cheer for your favorites from Linsdey Loham, to Kevin Bacon, to Krispy Creme. :)
Nana and Poppy
Big stuff and Daddy
We stripped Titus, strapped him down and just let him go to town with his piece of cake. Too bad he didn't like it! :) I'd like to say this was his first real "sweet treat" his had, but c'mon now he's my son- I think he was eating M&M's at 6 months.
Good grief- I love him. He is really cooming into his own little personality now and walking around like he's done it his whole life. I definitely feel like I have two little boys now and not a one little boy and my baby.

what sweet memories! I love all the pictures
Hey, Chris - I am just now making the rounds to all of my "regular" blogs, and I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa... I am so glad you have the blessing of good friends to help you out with Levi.
I read all about Titus' birthday, but I cant view the pics for some reason... and its killing me to read the captions and not see the pics!! I will check back later and see if my compt. was just being stubborn!
Love you...
