Oh no they didn't...
Oh yes they did!!! The rumors are true folks. In this blessed and luxurious lifestyle we all affectionately call the 21st century, there exists a genius researcher out there, a hero to humankind, who has gone above and beyond all wannabe inventors and created the CHOCOLATE COVERED NUTTER BUTTER COOKIE! Can you even grasp the scope of what I just said. It is true I tell you- and after polishing off my very first 12 cookies I can attest that these little peices of pure delight are worth the hype! :)
You may be asking yourself, with such a treasured find on a run-of-the-mill shopping trip to Wal-mart can Christina's day get any better than this? My friends, yes it can.
Because...I had one of the sweetest conversations with Levi on the way home from pre-school today. Over the past few months I have been trying to go into a little more detail when reading Bible stories to Levi. This can be a tricky thing to figure out where to draw the line because while we definitley want to pass on the foundations of our faith, some of our foundations are not exactly three-year old friendly. For example, the whole Jesus' death thing! I try to keep the words death, dead, and kill out of his vocabulary. So far so good - because when he's playing good guys/bad guys in his mind everyone is trying to "capture" eachother, with of course the good guys winning and taking the bad guys to jail.
Anyways, a few weeks ago we talked about how Jesus lives in Heaven and will come back to take us to Heaven with him- remember this was weeks ago- and randomly today in the car he asks me, "Momma, when is Jesus gonna come ride on the clouds and take us to Heaven." A little shocked I answered, "Well nobody knows because He wants it to be a surprise!" I wish you could have seen the excitement on his face at the thought of Jesus wanting to surprise us. It was priceless!!! I continued to tell him, "Only God knows waht day and when he tells Jesus to Go! He's going to come get all of us." Then Levi said, "I wonder what kind of house we will have in Heaven and what color it will be. " We decided we would like a house with a pool so all of our friends could come over and go swimming.
Being a mom really helps you understand what it means to have "faith like a child."

Ok, let me clarify. Are these cookies COMPLETELY covered in chocolate or just sort of tip-dipped (careful how you say that)? I had the tip-dipped ones once, and being a HUGE nutter butter and HUGE chocolate fan, I was not all that impressed. Hope what you found is nutter butters COMPLETELY covered in chocolate. Could you let me know?
I love the Levi story! How precious. Don't you just wish you had a running voice recorder?

Chris- I love that story. Ty and Levi seem so much alike with the stories you post all the sweet and silly stuff. I too have recently struggled with the whole story of Jesus death with Ty, I just kinda skim over. But Ty brought it up the other day as he was singing "Jesus loves the little children" then theres the verse where he died for all the children. And Ty started asking me questions about Jesus and him dying. I agree a tough topic to discuss with a (almost 3 year old) without going into the details. At the end I told him that Jesus lives in heaven with God now. And we have to be good so we can go to heaven to. He sudden jumped in and said...I'm a good boy, and Daddys a good boy, and Levi.. and started naming all these people that are "good boys" that he wants to come to heaven with him..... I do wish I had a tape recorder going all the time. There are conversations that are priceless.
Just one more quick story.. at RANDOME the other day Ty tells me that he needs to say thankyou to titus, Levi, Christina, and Mr. Cory for his black shoes:) I think he likes them. Thanks! You are still at the top of his list for people that he loves. I asked him who he loved this afternoon and he said (in order):Daddy, mommy, Christina, and Santa Claus.
Very sweet on both accounts. :)
You tell Levi to have a bite of those choc covered nutter butters and he will have a small taste of 'heaven!' Sounds way yummy! I love to hear their sweet stories! I was explaining to my boys the importance of seat belts one time and told them that if they werent wearing one and we had a wreck we could get really hurt. And Cason said, "yah, and you could DIE!" Coby's response was, "Cool. I wanted to go meet Jesus!" Keep the sweet stories (and the chocolate updates) comin!
