Everyone we know is giving away candy!!

Well apparantly "Trunk or Treats" are the latest epidemic sweeping the nation because our church had one too. And alas ours wasn't cool enough to be Bible themed, Elisa, but if it were... I would probably have used the story of Jezebel's body being eaten by dogs for my decorating inspiration. Just kidding it kinda freaks me out just writing that! I think this was the third year our church has done a Trunk or Treat and I am a big fan. All the kids come dressed in costume to Sunday night church then we all eat pizza together in the fellowship hall before making the mad dash out to the parking lot for sugar coated sugar.
Levi was dressed up as Clark Kent for the church services and then "surprised" everyone by changing into Superman for the Trunk or Treat. It was cute even though his Clark Kent glasses looked more like Harry Potter glasses... it was all we had at the house. His superman costume was made of realy thin material and had a battery-operated fan in the back that inflated his muscles (the noise from the fan was the real reason we did the whole Clark Kent thing during services). The costume was really cute and made his head look really tiny! It was fun because he got a great reaction from everyone. Originally, Titus was going to be a cowboy for Halloween, but then my friend found a Lion Costume on clearance at Old Navy where she works...only $4.00 plus her employee discount, can't beat that! He was ADORABLE just see for yourself below.
Tuesday night I took the boys trick-or-treating on our street while Cory passed out candy at our house. I was worried that Levi woud be scared because he often gets easily scared, but by the second house he was sure to let me know that "I can do it by myself because I'm a big boy," and would even show me where to stand so I wouldn't walk all the way up to the door with him. I was really surprised. He probably figured out that I was scoping out the candy the neighbors were depositing and started to worry about his loot. He's a smart kid, what can I say? Enjoy the pics!

P.S. Thanks to everyone who commented on my T-shirt dress dilemna. Thank you especially to Carolyn who approved of the design and obviosuly is the only one with any sort of fashion sense at all!!!

Chris that is really halirous that Titus was a lion, Ty had the EXACT same costum. And he too was going to be a cowboy (then peed on his shirt at the last moment) We had a quick stop at old navy and found the great sale of the lion. Except we paid $9 for ours. I'll post post pictures after we're done vacationing.

We saw the superman costume at Walmart the other day and thought it was hillarious! And I LOVE the pics of Titus. That Lion costume is about the cutest thing I've ever seen!

That's funny that Levi would do that all by himself. Since we were out of town we didn't get to go door to door trick or treating. We heard that the mall was having a mall-o-ween. We dressed Ty up and took him here. There was HUNDREDS of kids. It was fun to see all the other kids dressed up, but the place was pack. The kids were supposed to trick or treat at the stores (they had someone sitting at the opening of the store) Ty would just walk up to them and hold up his pumpkin. He really said trick or treat and everytime someone gave him a piece of candy he would look down in his bucket to see what it was. And then if they only gave him one peice he would stand and stare at them waiting for more. Since Ty was a lion there were times he played his charcter and would crawl on all 4s on the ground. Jeff and I would tell him to get up and walk. He would say, " I'm a lion, RAAAAR!" What a hoot!
We had to tell him that some lions can walk on 2 legs.

YES!!! I booked my flight. November is going to be one busy month. We home this Saturday, go to the Nelsons for a week, go to mom and dads for a week (for Thanksgiving) and then we're off to your casa. I hope you don't mind the company because we are coming to camp-out for a while. The dates are Tuesday, Nov. 28, i arrive in Dulles at 10:15..I leave Saturday, Dec 9, from dulles at 2pm. What do you think about going to NYC? It would be a blast to get some Christmas pictures of the boys in Central Park. I think after this week Jeff has a free nights stay in a Marriott hotel...I'll have to check with him if you are wanting to go.

Do you have the maternity clothes?
Since Ty and I get 4 bags between us I've going to try to bring all of the baby boy and toddler clothes. Titus is growing so fast I figure he will need more soon. Than in the empty bags I'll bring back maternity clothes.

You're a creative mom; I'm really impressed with the Clark Kent compromise. I like the picture of the four of you together. Sweet.

It sounds like Levi is growing up.
